Hobo Nickels 

              The Tradition of Carving nickels goes back over 100 years. A form of Folk art Originaly developed by Hobo's who would be paid one nickel for a days labor. They would carve the coins with a boot knife or a sharpened nail while waiting in hobo camp and exchange them as art later down the line. The tradition continues to this day with modern carvers pushing the boundries, propelling coin art into the future.
